This very competitively priced manual hydraulic crimping tool is compact yet powerful. It will press Aluminium (aluminum) and Copper wire rope ferrules onto 5 to 11mm diameter wire rope (steel core). The complete unit comes in two parts, the head and a separate hand pump; both supplied in a steel case. The 35-ton hydraulic crimping head comes with 7 TECNI® designed, hardened dies (6, 6.5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12).

This swaging tool is ideal for those wanting to create high strength, load rated steel wire rope assemblies from 5mm to 11mm diameter in the field. Aluminium ferrules swaged with this tool will meet the performance requirements stated in EN-13411-3. Copper ferrules are not in accordance with EN-13411-3 standard due to their material. A termination performed according to our instructions will normally withstand a tensile strength of 90% of the minimum breaking load (MBL) of the wire rope. Load tests should be carried out in order to verify the strength of the finished assembly. Replacement dies are available. 

A hexagon swaging die set for use with stainless steel swage terminals 3mm (6.35mm material approx.), 4mm (7.5mm material approx.) & 5mm (9.1mm material approx.) type is available to purchase separately for this tool.

Applications & Advice

TALURIT Aluminium and Copper Ferrules from T6 (or TCU6) and above finish at twice their size once correctly swaged. E.g. A Code T6 ferrule will finish at 12mm diameter and a T10 ferrule will finish at 20mm diameter.

Maximum working pressure of 700 kgf/cm2 (10,000 psi)

Recommended Grade of Oil: ISO 32 Hydraulic Oil
