The DIN6899B stainless steel thimble is designed as a reinforcement for 16mm cable eyes. Simply loop the cable around the outer groove and secure with a ferrule or wire rope grip. Thimbles are used for evenly distributing a load throughout the eye whilst avoiding damage increasing the life span of the eye. Heavy Duty Thimbles have thicker walls allowing for protection against abrasions.
